The Adult Sunday School Class meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM in the church refectory in a brief opening program, consisting of several hymns, prayer, a short devotional, and church announcements.
After a short coffee break, members and visitors move into a tastefully decorated room, provided by the Adult Day Care Center.
Four gifted teachers each teach a different Sunday. Ann Ripley paints a Bible scene to illustrate her carefully prepared lesson. Judge Bill Sweeney has many years of experience teaching Sunday School. Patrick Pillow, a student at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, comes home on the weekend to be at Court Street. And Eleanor Pillow meticulously researches from many sources for her presentation.
Lessons are based on the Adult Bible Studies, and each class member has a lesson book from which to study. Lively and informed discussions often accompany the lesson.
The class president plans several outings each year to foster fellowship, and the treasurer helps the class select charities to support.
Please come and share in this wonderful spiritual experience in a setting of warm camaraderie.
